CME increases revenues again

Central and eastern Europe-focused broadcast group CME posted second quarter revenues of US$249.7 million (€175 million), up 24% year-on-year. Operating income before depreciation and amortisation increased 35.7% to US$62.7 million.

The company saw growth in most of its markets, including in its largest, the Czech Republic, where revenues were up 16% to US$82.7 million. The greatest growth came in Bulgaria with revenues reaching US$26.7 million, up 50% year-on-year.

During the second quarter, broadcast revenues were up 20.1% to US$228.9 million. Media Pro Entertainment contributed US$51.25 million, up 33.8%. Revenues from new media were up 57.5% to US$4.61 million.
