RTL Group takes full control of Croatian unit

RTL Group has acquired full control of its Croatian broadcasting unit, RTL Hrvatska, after striking a deal with local shareholders Atlantic and Agrokor.

The company has bought the two companies’ respective 13% stakes in RTL Hrvatska, which operates the RTL Televizija and RTL 2 channels. Atlantic and Agrokor will both retain their position on the supervisory board and Atlantic will keep
“symbolic ownership” of 0.1% of the company. RTL Televizija  was launched in 2003 and the RTL Group increased its initial shareholding of 33% to 74% in 2006. RTL 2 launched in January 2011.
