Peled steps down as NDS CEO
Abe Peled has stepped down as CEO of NDS but will remain in the full time position of executive chairman of the board at the company.
Peled has been replaced as CEO by Dave Habiger, who joins NDS from Sonic Solutions where he was president and chief operating officer.
Peled has held the top job at NDS for 16 years, during which time it has evolved into one of the world’s leading conditional access and pay TV technology companies in the world, with CA and digital rights management technology currently deployed on 155 million active devices owned by 80 operators.
Speaking about his new position on the NDS board, Peled said: “After 16 rewarding years at the helm of NDS, the time has come to start the transition to the leadership that will take NDS forward over the next decade and beyond. NDS has a strong and experienced management team, and an unparalleled cadre of talented and dedicated employees with a proven track record in pay TV; it has been a privilege to work with them to establish NDS as the market leader in this area.”
