Nintendo launches original 3D video content for console

Video game manufacturer Nintendo is launching a raft of original 3D programming for its handheld 3DS console after striking a deal with production company CollegeHumor Media.

The IAC-backed producer will produce five original 3D comedy pilots and will produce at least one of these as a full series. The series, which will be a combination of animation and live-action, will launch on Nintendo’s Video service.

“CollegeHumor is known for producing creative and entertaining content. We look forward to sharing their 3D creations with Nintendo 3DS owners,” said Tony Elison, Nintendo America’s senior director and general manager of network business.
