View all BSkyB to post strong performance as directors discuss Murdoch

UK pay TV platform BSkyB is expected to post decent subscriber and revenue gains when it reports full-year results on Friday.

Analysts said they expect 350,000 year-on-year subscriber additions and a revenue increase of 10%, taking the total to about £6.5 billion (€7.4 billion).

The forecasts come as BSkyB directors meet to discuss the role of chairman James Murdoch amid the ongoing phone hacking scandal at a division of News Corp, which is a significant shareholder in the pay TV platform. UK reports suggest that some directors would like Murdoch to step aside.
