Czech and Slovak satellite pay TV operator Skylink has added Irdeto conditional access modules from China-based SMiT to its CI Plus offering following the successful completion of trials of SMiT’s CAM this month.
“We tested and certified SMiT’s Irdeto advanced security dual mode CAM with its proven technology to assist in protecting our premium contents against piracy,” said Dušan Konečný, chief technology officer of Skylink, on completion of the trial. “SMiT has a demonstrated track record in the industry and the region in providing superior products with top level content security, which is important for us to ensure our business is successful.”
Skylink already delivers its content to CI Plus-enabled integrated digital TVs using CAMs supplied by France-based Neotion.
