Freesat names finance chief

UK free-to-air DTH platform Freesat has appointed Alistair Thom as finance director.

Thom joins Freesat from KPMG where he has worked for the last five years as a manager in the financial advisory team across various of commercial clients including AOL and Arqiva. As well as leading all finance functions, Thom will also head-up Freesat’s HR, IT and property departments. 

Freesat’s previous financial director, Simon Winder, has left the company after three years to join the Football Association as financial controller.
