Lattelecom signs Huawei multimedia platform deal

Latvian telco Lattelecom has signed a deal with broadband infrastructure provider Huawei to deliver a new multimedia platform.

The platform will offer advanced voice services that integrate with social networks, file sharing between subscribers and fixed mobile convergence. It will run on Lattelecom’s advanced network that it has been upgrading since 2008 at a cost of LVL62 million (€87 million).
