Haivision acquires companies for new OTT division

IP video company Haivision has created a new division specialising in over-the-top delivery using technologies from two recently acquired companies.

The company has acquired KulaByte Corporation, which specialises in live software-based encoding and MontiVision Imaging Technologies, which delivers technologies for video acquisition, machine vision, surveillance and medical imaging applications. The technologies of both companies, including advanced encoding, transcoding, cloud computing, and workflow solutions, will be combined to form Haivision’s new Internet Media division.
