Spanish pay TV operator Digital Plus has signed a deal with Cisco that will see the technology provider develop a new line of iPlus DVRs.
The first generation of iPlus receivers are in more than 400,000 households. The devices allow users to watch and record HD and 3D channels and offer range of trick play features.
Pedro Garcia Guillen, CEO of Digital Plus parent company Prisa TV, said, “The alliance between Digital Plus and Cisco is a strategic partnership that will help the process of our digital transformation. We will continue to develop iPlus with the technology leader. It will allow us to fulfill our commitment of offering the best content with the latest technology to our customers.”
