Dutch cable operator Ziggo added 25,000 new subscribers in the second quarter of 2011.
At the end of June, total RGUs reached 6.8 million, an increase of 4.7% year-on-year. Additionally, in the second quarter 56,000 subscribers activated their digital smartcard bringing the total number of digital TV subscribers to 1.97 million, which is approximately two thirds of total TV subscriptions. The second quarter also saw Ziggo add 39,000 All-in 1 triple-play customers, taking the total to 1.178 million.
Financially, it was a strong quarter, with the operator reporting revenue of 363.7 million, up 7.6% year-on-year. Adjusted EBITDA was up 7.1% to Â206.9 million.
