Orange strikes targeted ad deal with Dailymotion

Orange has struck a deal with France-based video site Dailymotion to offer localized advertising in the online video-sharing market.

The partnership, which will cover the UK (on both web and mobile portals), Spain, Poland and Latin America (on the web) and France (on mobile only), will see Orange deliver localised digital advertising on Dailymotion through its Orange Advertising Network. The Orange Advertising Network will have the exclusive rights to monetize and represent Dailymotion’s video advertising inventory across the relevant territories.

Dailymotion’s categorisation of content can be used by advertisers to target the video sharing market locally by differentiating between premium and user-generated content.
Brands will also be able to use the talents of the Dailymotion videomaking community, the ‘Motionmakers’, which make up 20% of Dailymotion’s community. This group can be briefed to create bespoke content for advertisers.

Companion ads can also be used by advertisers to integrate video content alongside traditional web advertising formats such as banners and home-page takeovers, according to Orange.
Dailymotion reaches about 114 million unique visitors a month.
