Virgin Media launches TiVo Harry Potter app

Virgin Media has launched a Harry Potter app for its TiVo platform, giving users access to six movies from Warner Bros’ wizard franchise.

The new app was developed by Virgin Media with content from Warner Bros Pictures. It is available in the Virgin Media TiVo Apps and Games section on the cable operator’s internet-connected platform.

Cindy Rose, executive director of digital entertainment at Virgin Media, said: “There is no better way to celebrate the hugely successful Harry Potter series than by giving fans cherished footage of the stars that have made Hogwarts a household name. The Virgin Media TiVo service presents a whole new digital entertainment experience for consumers who want more from their TV, and this app is a magnificent example of the unique services we’re capable of delivering.”

Virgin Media has also launched a new TV Guide mobile app that enables users to remotely record using TiVo. The free Android app enables customers to browse the TV guide, see what’s on over the next seven days and remotely set recordings from their mobile device. Customers can personalise the app by creating a list of their favourite channels. It will soon be available for iPhones.
