Video-on-demand operator FilmFlex Movies has hired former ITV exec Jeff Henry as chief executive.
Henry, who was previously chief executive, ITV Consumer, will oversee strategy and management at the company, which is a joint venture between Sony Pictures Television and The Walt Disney Company. He will report to chairman Chiara Cipriani and will look to expand the service’s reach on to new platforms.
FilmFlex currently has a deal with UK cable operator Virgin Media and also provides VOD services to Film4 On Demand. ⨔The Board of Directors is delighted that Jeff is bringing his extensive broadcasting and VOD industry expertise to our team. We expect him to play a vital role in growing our revenues and expanding FilmFlex beyond its current platforms, content propositions, devices and territories,” said Cipriani.
