News channel France24 has launched a new application for the Windows Phone 7 platform. The new application will be available in English, French and Arabic and will be available free of charge to Windows Phone 7 users.
The app will introduce users to a screen with news headlines, aggregating and prioritizing the latest international news. Windows phone users will also be able to follow the channel in the three languages in the live section and access recent bulletins. The will also be able to be able to search for content, including all programmes aired over the past month in a Âshows section, and use a geo-location tool to access content relating to a specific region.
Separately, France24Âs vice-president of worldwide distribution, Philippe Rouxel, has announced he is leaving the channel after four years in the post.
