Disney is launching a high definition version of its kids network Disney Channel in the UK and Ireland. Disney Channel HD will launch on UK satellite pay TV platform Sky on September 16.
The channel is the latest Disney high definition station to launch in the UK following the launch of Disney XD HD in October 2010 and Disney Cinemagic HD in December 2008.
Disney Channel HD will launch with HD versions of series including Good Luck Charlie, Shake It Up and Fish Hooks as well as new music series Disney Pop Stop.
