Virgin Media has signed a deal with Spotify that will bring the music streaming service to its TV, online and mobile customers.
The agreement will bring Spotifys catalogue of over 13 million tracks to Virgin MediaÂs four million fibre optic broadband customers, meaning that its TiVo customers will be able to access the service via the TV using a jointly-developed app. Mobile users will also be able to access the service on the move.
Existing Virgin Media customers will get the first opportunity to use the service, which will launch Âin the coming monthsÂ, with special offers and an exclusive sign-up window. Existing Spotify users that are currently, or become, Virgin Media broadband customers will be able to keep their existing accounts.
Andreas Liffgarden, director of business development at Spotify, said: ÂBy teaming up with Virgin Media weÂre giving millions more people across the UK the chance to enjoy all the worldÂs music at their fingertips, however they choose to listen to it  be that on their computer, mobile, and for the first time through their TV.Â
