Panasonic has launched a new public web portal to enable developers to write apps for its Viera Connect cloud-based TV service.
The consumer electronics company said its newly launched Viera Connect Developers platform will use streamlined processes to improve time to market for application developers and media companies. The portal site, hosted by Accedo Partner Programs, will expand the number of apps for Viera Connect by providing access to an application programme interface, technical information, reference code and other assistance required to develop Viera Connect applications.
Viera Connect, which is available in approximately 100 countries around the world since it launched in spring this year, offers various apps, including video-on-demand services, music, sports, games, health and fitness.
