Swedish cable operator ComHem has signed a deal that will see its services offered by local network operator ServaNet in Sundsvall, Härnösand, Timrå and à nge.
The deal means ServaNets 8,000 customers will have access to ComHemÂs 140 TV channels, HD services and high speed broadband. Customers do not need a separate set-top to receive ComHemÂs services.
ComHemÂs business manager for residential investment, Mats Stock, said the deal was part of a wider strategy to target local service providers: ÂComHem sees great potential in the residential market and [is having] discussions with a number of city network providers throughout the country. City networks are natural partners for us; they often have an extensive fibre infrastructure to the residential segment, ambitious expansion plans and important knowledge of local conditions.Â
