â¨German cable operator Kabel Deutschland (KDG) has inked a deal with local broadcast group ProSiebenSat.1 to carry a raft of its high-definition channels.
The two companies have also struck a deal that will include its video-on-demand offering. KDG will carry all four of ProSiebenSat.1’s HD channels including Prosieben HD, Sat.1 HD, Kabel Eins HD and special interest network Sixx HD from October 2011.
This summer, KDG will also launch ProSiebenSat.1-owned content on its video-on-demand platform. The deal marks an extension of the arrangement that sees ProSiebenSat.1’s analogue and standard definition channel carried on the cable platform.
