Astra 1N scheduled for launch today

SES Astra’s latest satellite, 1N, is set to launch today.

The satellite operator said Astra 1N will be launched from the Guiana Space Centre in French Guiana onboard an Ariane 5 ECA rocket between 23:43 and 01:06 CEST.

The satellite offers 52 Ku-band transponders and will provide interim capacity at 28.2° East before being moved to 19.2° East, from where it will mainly serve the German, French and Spanish markets.
