Sky Deutschland launches Anytime

Sky Deutschland is launching its own version of Sky Anytime, the push VOD service offered by UK counterpart BSkyB.

Sky Anytime will debut in August, with customers able to watch a selection of movies, sports events and entertainment programmes that have been loaded onto their Sky Plus HD DVRs. New content will be added to DVRs each night. The service will be available initially to Sky’s satellite customers before rolling out to cable customers at a later date.

“Sky Plus already meets the needs of the future use of television and Sky Anytime makes this service even better,” said Marcello Maggioni, executive vice-president of customer group Sky Deutschland. “The launch further demonstrates our aim to offer our customers the best entertainment service.”
