First VOD service launches in Malta

Maltese pay TV operator Melita is launching the country’s first video-on-demand service. It will offer Melita subs a range of TV series and library movies.

Melita is working with UK-based VOD aggregator On Demand Group and will use the company’s ondemand! Platform.
“ODG has contracts with all the major Hollywood movie studios, premium TV networks and music suppliers,” said Ludolf Rasterhoff, COO at Melita. “The launch of the ondemand! service will substantially enhance our TV offering and allow our subscribers a total TV experience to watch the programme of their choice whenever they want.”
