Yahoo bid for Hulu

Online search giant Yahoo is the company that reportedly approached online video service Hulu with a view to buying the company.

Yesterday, it was reported that an un-named buyer approached Hulu, which is owned by News Corp, Disney and NBC Universal as well as private-equity investor Providence. However, the identity of the company was unknown and it has since emerged that it was the Carol Bartz-led internet firm. This has prompted Hulu, which is run by Jason Kilar, to look into its options and it has hired Morgan Stanley to explore opportunities.
