MTG renews Champions League deal

Pan-Scandinavian broadcaster Modern Times Group has extended its deal to air the UEFA Champions League football tournament across the region.

The company currently has the rights to the European competition until the end of the 2011/12 season, but has inked a deal with Team Marketing, UEFA’s commercial rights agency, for a further three seasons. It has acquired the free-to-air, pay TV, mobile and online rights; in Sweden it will air games on TV10 and Viasat Football, in Norway it will air the games on Viasat 4 and Viasat Football and in Denmark the matches will air on TV2 Sport and TV3+.
