SFR teams up with Fnac for co-marketing, digital initiatives

French telco SFR has formed a partnership with retail giant Fnac whereby SFR will acquire dedicated zones in Fnac stores to market its products.

The alliance will mean that Fnac will, from the second half of the year, for the first time dedicate areas of its stores to telecom and multimedia services. The pair are also in discussion about joint initiatives in digital distribution, beginning with the distribution of content to Fnac’s branded e-reader, the FnacBook, to be followed by partnerships around music and subscription video-on-demand.
