Argos TV hires former QVC and Gala TV execs

Home shopping channel Argos TV has hired former QVC and Gala TV execs ahead of the launch in the UK.

The channel, which is run by digital media company ETV Media Group, has hired former Gala TV director of programmes Paul Tremain as broadcast controller.

Tremain will join on July 1. Argos TV has also hired former QVC executive Elliot Moscow as director of programmes. The channel launches in the UK on satellite platform Sky on 15 June and will include four hours of live programming every weekday and eight hours of live programming at the weekends.
