ER-Telecom to invest in network

Russian triple-play service provider ER-Telecom plans to invest US$200 million (€137 million) in network construction this year, according to local reports.

CEO Andrei Semerikov told the Interfax news agency that ER-Telecom had set a target of four million subscribers by the end of this year, up from 2.717 million at the end of 2010.

ER-Telecom currently operates in 31 Russian cities, but plans to increase this to 43 by 2014, according to Semerikov.
