SES signs cooperation deal with Qatari government

SES is partnering with Qatar’s Supreme Council for Information and Communication Technology, ictQatar, to develop joint satellite projects.

The satellite operator has signed a memorandum of understanding with icQatar to explore opportunities for the provision of satellite platforms, networks and services in the Middle East, and further afield, including the provision of SES satellite capacity for the joint development of space assets, orbital positions and the associated ground segment.

The cooperation between ictQATAR and SES is supported by both the Qatari government and the Luxembourg government and was signed in the presence of Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani and the prime minister of Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Juncker.
