British thematic channel operator UKTV has inked its first product placement deal with the launch of factual series Find My Past.
The broadcaster, which is owned by cable operator Virgin Media and BBC Worldwide, has signed a deal with Friends Reunited owner and genealogy firm Find My Past to fund the 10×1 hour series, which will launch on digital-terrestrial channel Yesterday later this year.
The show, which is produced by All3Media-owned Lion Television, will use the company’s website to link famous moments in history to a number of unrelated people.
