New home shopping channel for Italy

HSE24, the German home shopping network, is launching a channel in Italy.

The channel, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Home Shopping Europe, will initially launch the channel across cable and satellite pay TV platforms, where it will reach 16 million households, and is also in talks to launch the network on digital terrestrial television.

The network will include local Italian content, showcasing Italian retailers, as well as documentaries and lifestyle programming.

“Basically, HSE24 Italy will offer a similar range to Germany, where we can use our experience in the Italian market,” said managing director Richard Reitzner.
