Akado completes migration of TV services to SDI

Russian service provider Akado has completed the migration of its TV service to an SDI-based technical platform.

The new platform, designed to improve signal quality on Akado’s network, means that TV services will be fed into its infrastructure in uncompressed format and then converted for digital or analogue broadcast.

At the same time, Akado has started retransmitting leading network Channel One in the 16:9 format for digital distribution.
