Beltelecom launches Belarus’s first 3D service

Belarusian telco Beltelecom has begun testing the country’s first 3D TV service as part of its Zala TV offering.

The 3D service will be available as part of the Zala TV HD package to viewers equipped with suitable reception equipment. The broadcasts will be compatible with active 3D glasses.

The Zala TV HD pack includes Fashion One HD, Mezzo Live HD and HD Life.

The Zala TV service currently has about 290,000 subscribers across Belarus. Beltelecom, which recently launched a triple-play service, Universal, has also announced that it has signed up its 900,000th broadband customer.
