KidsCo hires Spanish agent

Kids channel KidsCo has hired a Spanish agent to help it secure distribution deals in the country.

The channel, a three-way joint venture between NBC Universal, Corus and Cookie Jar, has brought on Beagle Consulting to represent the channel across Spain. The channel recently renewed a carriage deal with regional Spanish cable R and is also carried in the Imagenio and Orange IPTV services and the Starmax HD DTH service. However, the country’s largest MSO, Ono, took the channel off its service earlier this year, having carried it as a basic tier service since 1998.
