Latvian cable operator Baltkom has completed the installation of a 4G wireless network in the centre of Riga.
The network, based on three base stations, covers an area in Riga Old Town and the centre of the city, delivering wireless broadband speeds of up to 80Mbps within a 500 metres range and up to 32Mbps further from the transmitters. Baltkom estimates that providing full coverage across central Riga will require about 20 base stations.Â
