Romanian cable operator Digital Cable Systems has launched a HDTV service on its AKTA pay TV platform. â¨According to local reports, the operator has invested 100,000 in the project. Subscribers now have access to four HD channels  PRO TV, Sport.ro, TVR and History. More channels are expected to be added to the platform. The package costs RON20 (Â4.85).
Those taking the AKTA Digital Total pack will receive a 50% discount while those with the AKTA Digital Start pack will get 25% off.
At the end of 2010, Digital Cable Systems had 180,000 subscribers.
