Russian service provider MTS has made its online on-demand service omlet.ru available on TV sets.
MTSs 2.8 million customers can now access the operatorÂs catalogue of online content from studios including Disney via their TV sets after it integrated the service with its fixed line network. Movies cost RUB35 (Â0.88) to hire for 48 hours and payment can be made using mobile phones.
ÂMore than 2.8 million households in Moscow and other regions are already watching TV via MTS. We see growth potential through the promotion of digital TV services, legal content and a convenient way to pay for access to viewing your favorite movies,” said Inna Shalyto, director of innovative media products at MTS.
