iPlayer adds series-record

The BBC has added a series-record feature to its iPlayer catch-up service.
The new feature means users with the iPlayer desktop application can book to download future episodes of any programme on iPlayer.

Programmes are downloaded automatically and are available for up to 30 days before they expire, or seven days once they have been watched. They can be watched when offline in the UK and abroad.
In order to use series-record, viewers must download and install the iPlayer Desktop software, which is available for free from the iPlayer website.
