Austrian transmission services provider ORS has unveiled plans to roll out a DVB-T2 network from 2012, beginning in urban areas in the country. The countrys digital switchover process is set to be completed by June 7 this year.
Technical director Norbert Grill said the rollout of DVB-T2 would have no impact on existing DVB-T viewers. He said the group envisaged that the terrestrial networkÂs share of the market would increase from 12-15% as a result of network expansion.
ORS also plans to boost its satellite services offer and expand its activities in other markets in central and eastern Europe.Â
