Zon’s triple-play penetration passes 50%

Portuguese cable operator Zon Multimedia ended March with a total of 3,181,300 RGUs, a 7.8% year-on-year increase.

The operator has seen success with its bundled offerings, with 666,000 customers now taking triple-play services, meaning 57.6% of its cable subscribers now take three services.

Zon reported first quarter revenues from pay TV, broadband and voice services of €195.6 million, up 1.5% year-on-year. Total EBITDA was up 8.5% to 79.5 €79.5 million.
