UPC Poland launches remote DVR service

Cable operator UPC Poland has launched a remote DVR service, allowing subscribers to schedule recordings on their DVR set-tops via mobile phones, iPhones, iPads and via the web.

UPC customers with DVR boxes can schedule recordings via the nagrywanie.upc.pl website, while iPhone and iPad owners can download a free application from the App Store giving them access to the UPC TV guide and allowing them to schedule recordings and reminders. The app also gives access to information and trailers of forthcoming programmes.
