YouTube reveals Royal Wedding figures

The UK royal wedding was streamed live 72 million times from the YouTube site on April 29.

The Google-owned company said live streams were requested from 188 countries, with most streams being sent to users in the UK, followed by the US, Italy, Germany and France.    

YouTube used its new live streaming platform, which enables media partners to broadcast live events over the web, to deliver coverage of the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
