Russian pay TV operator NTV-Plus has selected Verimatrix to secure its new IPTV service.
Verimatrixs VCAS for IPTV will be deployed on the NTV-Plus wholesale network to secure video for the IPTV service via local broadband network operators. The CA specialist said VCAS security has been pre-integrated on hundreds of set-top box models, which means NTV-Plus can offer multiple tiers of receivers at different price points to appeal to a wide range of broadband operators and end-users.
The NTV-Plus service offers 140 channels, including some in HD, to its two million customers.
