Unitymedia launches 3D TV channel

German cable operator Unitymedia has launched a 3D TV demo channel.

The channel, which launches today, will broadcast a 60-minute loop of 3D programming, covering sport, documentaries and entertainment. Clips include a tour around Cologne Cathedral, motor racing and a piano concert. Viewers need a HD DVR and 3D TV to receive the channel, which is available free of charge.

Unitymedia has also announced the addition of HD channel Auto Motor und Sport HD to its line-up.
