Sky Sports extends Champions League rights

Sky Sports has been awarded a new broadcast deal for the UEFA Champions League into 2015.

Under the new deal that covers three seasons from 2012 to 2015, BSkyB’s Sky Sports will show 129 live Champions League matches each year as well as the UEFA Super Cup. The broadcaster will deliver live coverage of up to 15 live matches each week, exclusively in the UK and on a non-exclusive basis in Ireland.

In addition to live rights and highlights, Sky Sports has also been awarded cross-platform rights for use on mobile and broadband. Matches will be offered live on PC or laptop through Sky Player at skysports.com and on mobile devices through Sky Mobile TV.
