FA Cup Final on Sky 3D

UK pay TV operator BSkyB will broadcast this year’s FA Cup Final in 3D on its dedicated 3D channel.

The match between Stoke and Manchester City, which takes place on May 14, will be produced in 3D by sports broadcaster ESPN. Sky will show the match on its 3D channel Sky 3D. ESPN’s 3D coverage from Wembley Stadium will be between 14:30 and 18:30, with the match kicking off at 15:00. Like the ESPN and ESPN HD coverage, ESPN’s 3D coverage on Sky 3D will be commercial-free from 14:30 until after the trophy presentation.

ESPN launched a dedicated 3D channel in the US, ESPN 3D, last June. In January this year it began broadcasting 3D programming all day.

Next month’s UEFA Champion’s League final at Wembley Stadium will also be available live on Sky 3D, with Sky Sports being the host broadcaster for the match.
