MBC launches free HD bouquet for Middle East

Middle Eastern satellite TV operator MBC is to offer a bouquet of high definition channels to its customers for free.

The company struck a deal with Technosat to launch seven free high definition channels from July 1. 
Sam Barnett, COO, MBC Group said: “As of July 1, all MBC viewers will be able to enjoy up to seven of our current 10 channels in HD. Moreover, viewers can watch the channels for free. They will need to have a HD TV and they’ll need a Technosat HD set top box.”
