Satellite operator Eutelsat has struck a deal via its broadband subsidiary SkyLogic with UK satellite specialist Avonline to sell broadband services in the UK via Ka-Sat. The contract, valued at up to 5 million, will allow Avonline to sell Eutelsat’s Tooway satellite broadband service.
Separately, rival operator SES Astra has signed an agreement with the Romanian internet service provider E-Sourcing Know-How & Services for the marketing of its satellite-based broadband service Astra2Connect in Romania. E-Sourcing will market Astra2Connect to households and businesses in isolated areas without access to terrestrial broadband networks.
