â¨Pan European broadcaster RTL Group has lodged a bid for ProSiebenSat.1’s Belgian channels.
The company is hoping to acquire the two Belgian channels in the Dutch-speaking part of the country after the German broadcast group put its international assets – which also include channels in the Netherlands and Scandinavia – up for sale last year. This also comes a few days after Finnish media company Sanoma submitted an offer to buy ProSiebenSat.1’s assets in both Belgium and the Netherlands. ProSiebenSat.1, which is owned by private equity firms Kohlberg, Kravis and Roberts and Permira, announced last year that it was looking to offload its international assets. Â
