Multimedia Polska acquires local operator

Polish cable operator Multimedia Polska has taken a 100% stake in cable networks operator Media Operator.

Media Operator owns various operations including cable operator Małopolska Telewizja Kablowa STAR-TV, which is active in the Tarnów region of Poland. Andrzej Rogowski, the president of Multimedia Polska, said the acquisition was the next stage in the company’s “long-term consolidation strategy”. Star-TV’s passes over 26,000 housholds.
